LEE NUTLAND ILLUSTRATION.

Photo by me; Luke Hinsull :)

Here is a good friend of mine I've been wanting to blog for god knows how long. This dude seriously needs checking out, he has a great style, particularly to behold live when I was at the Artade (will provide more details about this event soon :)) drawing comps. Definetly give this guy a check out he has a great sense of humour in his drawing. And also, utterly down to earth to hang out with. Sick styles, and will profile more Artade artists soon.

In his own words;

Steady as you go.
Poster design for the Advice To Sink In Slowly campaign 2008/09.
"Advice To Sink In Slowly is a non profit campaign to pass on advice to uni students around the country in a creative way, posters are distributed at participating uni's fresher's weeks in an attempt to pass on valuable advice to new students from old. Steady as you go is a little heads up to new students about the dangers of too much drink impairing your decisions, especially around a whole new bunch of people - some of who may have slightly questionable motives. Personally, I'd be the last one to say don't get pissed, but I'm saying keep your head on your shoulders - hence the lighthearted design, after all it is a poster and i want people to enjoy it as such, want to hang it on their wall and that way hopefully the message will 'sink in slowly' and always be in the back of their mind. This has also been selected for the Advice To Sink In Slowly Postcard Pack II hopefully available in Feb 09.
For more info about Advice To Sink In Slowly and buy prints and stuff visit http://flickr.com/photos/adviceposters/ and the soon to be launched website."

How to make a fucked up mix tape.
Editorial illustration for Dazed & Confused Vol II No67.
"Every month Dazed & Confused get a music type person to list 10 songs to make a mixtape, this month it was Mr Joe lead vocalist for punk band Fucked Up. For those haven't heard about a Fucked Up show, basically Mr Joe gets very passionate/goes a bit nuts and more often than not beats himself in the head wit the mic leading to some loss of claret! It was this brutality that i wanted to depict, whilst including the title and track names which was part of the brief."

Check it - he gets my rad vote.
